Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Google Pixel 8 & 8 Pro

Introduction

Introducing the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, designed by Google with artificial intelligence at its core to deliver a more useful and customized experience. These phones are loaded with innovative capabilities that are all enabled by Google Tensor G3. Additionally, customers will receive regular feature drops, security updates, and changes to the Android OS for a period of seven years. Examine the new phones more closely to see everything from their stunning design to their upgraded cameras and new sensors.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Design:

The refined design of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro has softer contours, exquisite metal accents, and recycled materials.

The smaller size and curved edges of the Pixel 8 make it feel fantastic in the palm of your hand. Its 6.2-inch Actua display, which is 42% brighter than the Pixel 7’s, provides you with clarity in the real world. The Rose, Hazel, and Obsidian-colored Pixel 8 has polished glass on the back and smooth metal finishes.

Display:

Google brightest display to yet is seen on the 6.7-inch Super Actua display of the Pixel 8 Pro. You will therefore be pleased with how realistic your Ultra HDR photos appear, especially in bright sunlight. It also has a matte glass back with a polished aluminum frame and comes in three colors: Porcelain, Bay and Obsidian.

Sensor:

And on the back of the Pixel 8 Pro, a new temperature sensor lets you quickly scan an object to get its temperature. Use it to determine whether the milk in your baby’s bottle is the proper temperature or whether your skillet is hot enough to begin cooking. Additionally, we’ve applied to the FDA to allow Fitbit to store your temperature collected through Pixel’s Thermometer App.

Camera:

In addition to game-changing editing tools, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have strong, improved camera systems for breathtaking photo and video quality.

The Pixel 8 Pro has improved every camera, beginning with the primary camera, which now produces better images and movies in low light. The telephoto lens captures 56% more light and takes 10x photographs at optical quality; the larger ultrawide lens offers even better macro focus; and the front-facing camera now features autofocus for the best selfies on a Pixel phone.

Along with the same improved primary camera, the Pixel 8 also has a new ultrawide lens that supports Macro Focus.

You can locate and record stuff in your preferred photo and video modes with ease thanks to the camera app’s user-friendly, revamped layout. To further improve your creative power over the Pixel Camera, the Pixel 8 Pro will also get you access to Pro Controls, which let you change shutter speed, ISO, and snap 50 MP photos at different zoom levels, among other settings.

Everyone has experienced the scenario where they have the ideal group shot, but one person isn’t facing the camera. To obtain the photo you believed you took, Best Take1 leverages the ones you actually took. An on-device algorithm uses a set of photographs to generate a composite image that captures each person looking their best.

Google Photos just released Magic Editor, an experimental editing tool that applies generative AI to assist you in aligning your images with the essence of the moment you were attempting to capture. With only a few taps, you can scale, move, and apply presets to make the backdrop stand out.

You may quickly and simply eliminate irritating sounds in your video, such as howling winds or boisterous crowds, with Audio Magic Eraser1. With this unprecedented computational audio feature, sounds are sorted into discrete layers that you may adjust the volume of using sophisticated machine learning models.

The Pixel 8 Pro will have Video Boost later this year, which combines Tensor G3 with our strong data centers to give your videos cutting-edge processing. With adjustments to color, lighting, stability, and graininess, it produces beautiful, lifelike videos. For improved low-light smartphone video quality, Video Boost also activates Pixel’s Night Sight Video feature.

 Feature:

You may now rapidly delve deeper into a webpage and obtain additional context. Pixel may create a summary of a webpage using Summarize, allowing you to easily grasp its main ideas. Additionally, your Pixel has the ability to translate webpages and read aloud so you may access content while on the go.2.

Even more adept at deciphering the subtleties of human speech, Pixel allows you to converse with it more comfortably and accomplish more. It will wait until you’re through speaking if you hesitate or say “um.” Even if you speak various languages, you can swiftly type, amend, and send messages by using your voice.2.

Additionally, Call Screen now helps you receive 50% less spam calls on average thanks to upgraded AI.3. In order to engage the caller, it will answer calls from unknown numbers in silence and with a more natural-sounding voice.  It’s also smart enough to separate the calls you want from the calls you don’t. In the near future, Call Screen will provide contextual response suggestions that you can tap to swiftly reply to brief calls—such as those confirming appointments—without having to pick up the phone.

Upgrades:

In order to safeguard personal data and strengthen your Pixel’s defense against sophisticated threats, Google Tensor G3 integrates with the Titan M2 security chip. Additionally, the Pixel 8’s Face Unlock now complies with the strictest Android biometric class, enabling you to use Google Wallet and other compatible banking and payment apps.

Pixel phones come with special features and updates that make your phone better over time. We are now offering the first-ever seven years of software support for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which includes frequent feature drops, security updates, and operating system upgrades.
