Randy Gregory traded to 49ers, could play against Cowboys on Sunday

Cowboys COO Stephen Jones said Friday that he's not ruling out the chances of facing Gregory on Sunday.

Randy Gregory (Broncos): 10/21 games, 3 sacks since signing in March 2022. Drafted by Cowboys in 2nd round of 2015 NFL Draft, missed 31 games in 5 years due to off-the-field issues.

The 49ers acquired Gregory in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Broncos also received a seventh-round pick in the trade.

The 49ers are one of the best defenses in the NFL, but they could use some help at pass rush. Gregory is a talented pass rusher, but he has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career.

The Cowboys will need to be aware of Gregory's versatility and his ability to rush the passer. They will need to have a plan for how to deal with him if he plays on Sunday.

The trade adds another layer of intrigue to the Cowboys-49ers rivalry. Gregory will be looking to get revenge on his former team

It will be interesting to see if Randy Gregory plays against his former team on Sunday. If he does, it will be a big story in the NFL world.
